Air
China Limited which is formally known as Air China has
been founded at Beijing since 30th September 2004. Air
China was a renowned company both in China and at overseas
and is the oldest airline with long history operating
in the civil aviation of China.
Air China Limited is held by one of the biggest three
aviation groups, China National Aviation Holding Company
(CNAH) founded on 28th October 2002 with Air China as
the main body amalgamating with China National Aviation
Company (CNAC) and China Southwest Airlines.
Air China Limited is the only flag carrier in China shouldering
the responsibility of handling VIP flights for the leaders
of the State and the Communist Party of China.
Air China Limited with total asset of RMB 51.47 billion
and total traffic volume of 5.17 billion ton kilometers
has 23,000 staff. She has a fleet consisting of 131 aircrafts.
Most of them are belonged to Boeing series. They include
45 wide-bodied passenger aircraft like Boeing 747, 777,
767 and Airbus 340. Air China Limited operates the largest
amount of routes in China. Out of 395 routes being operated,
73 are international routes while the remaining 322 routes
are for domestics. 480 scheduled services are offered
every day. She has also set up Air China Southwest Subsidiary,
Zhejiang Subsidiary and Chongqing Subsidiary and two branches
based in Tianjin and Inner Mongolia. Air China Limited
is holding company of Air China Cargo, Ameco and Beijing
Air Catering Co Ltd. 31 domestic offices and 46 overseas
offices have been set up to handle marketing and sales.
Considering all assets, Air China Limited is ranked to
be the first among all other Chinese airlines.
By 28th July 2003, Air China Limited has successfully
completed the integration and unification of logistic
control, aviation safety, flight operation and air to
ground services. Thanks to the consolidation and integration,
Air China Limited is now able to provide seamless services
to customers achieving better connection services for
both domestic and international routes.
